On May 23 at 19:00, in Liepaja Society of the Blind big hall will be held a charity concert who is organized to attract financial resources for building a sauna in social rehabilitation center "Garden of Soul Relief".

The construction of a sauna building was initiated by people with disabilities who often want to attend public events and other public places such as a public sauna, but they have to deal with exaggerated attention and comments, sometimes even with condemnation from other people. Also, not all sauna's have universal design and security principles. By experiencing such experience, people experience social tension due to their limited functionality. As a result, people with disabilities start to separate themselves from society and create a psychological barrier.

The sauna for people with disabilities will initially provide an opportunity to overcome the psychological barrier between people like themselves and will get the necessary encouragement to enter society. With the construction of a sauna building, the Liepaja Society for the Blind wants to offer people with disabilities equal rights and opportunities, similarly to does who are offered to healthy people, by offering bath procedures. Physical health of the body affects not only the immunity of each person, but also affects the emotional well-being that a person with disability is more difficult to recover. The procedures in the sauna  could provide improvements both in improving the health status of people with disabilities and in stabilizing the mental capacity, allowing to experience sauna rithuals in emotionally and physically safe environment.
